Hi everybody!!!
To start of, CONGRATS to STREET C-LAT for being the champion for this competition. I am very proud of u guys, FADLI, YAZID, NAZ and last but not least MUS… I was actually pleasantly suprise when u guys wore our uniform to fight on the last day. That is really an icing on the cake for we won in our uniform.
KK.. Enough of praises to this guys.. Takut nanti melayang ke atas awan tak tau nak turun.. hehehe
K. Just abit of sypnosis of the event. There were 4 teams, STREET C-LAT, KONG POO PANDA, PHOENIX SPARTANS and PENDEKAR MUSTAR… Focus was on Phoenix Spartans as they were the only group which had a mixture of different types of martial arts mainly comprising of muay thai and capuira (i tink wrong spelling… hehe).. Going on… The event was held for 2 days, 1st and 2nd August 2009 at Masjid Al-Mukminin.. To cut the story short, the competition gets very exciting whenever phoenix spartans comes into the gelanggang for their fight.. Overall, it was a good, entertaining and worth watching for… So, insyallah in the month of November, a similar tournament will be held again in another arena. So, to all u guys and now girls, please keep urself excited, fully equipped and fully energised for this upcoming event.. By the way, videos are already uploaded in the youtube. So, just check it out..
Lastly before I end my post, me and abg zul would like to personally thank a few anak macan for their help in this event.. They are:-

Oh it’s for a maulud. Every year my ustaz will conduct a maulud sempena hari jadi Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. It’s actually like a free jamuan thing kat bawah block, and there are performances and stuff. So the kendarat people will just serve the guests la. The guests eat in dulang, like a few people share one dulang like that.

Tentatively as of now, i tink our outing wld be postpone… This is due to the short notice and most of our anak macan (if i am not wrong, pls correct me if i am) kena quarantine especially at Republic and Nanyang Polytechnic… So, to u guys and gals hu kena quarantine.. Pls take care of urself.. Anything pls do not hesitate to go to the doctor… dats all for now… anything will be updated soon…

Syahir and Azmi won gold medal for their respective school in this year’s Inter-Varsity tournament that was held at NTU on two weekends of June 2009.
Syahir played a rather cautious game and we hope that he would have gained more confidence the next time he competes at the finals. This is because Syahir always fight very confidently in earlier rounds but never have enough believe that he can win gold at the finals. We hope that this will change his perception of the finals and start believing in himself more.
On the other hand, Azmi fought with greater flair and confidence which made him having more composure executing the techniques especially the well timed sweep. He also managed to put in some effective kicks in the process.

I have just come back from our association’s meeting and it seems that somehow there is a miss communication internally which resulted in our Perguruan not receiving the application form for this year’s tournament. I still did not get the form in my hands the time I am writing this down… (More …)

I have to agree with abg zul.. As much as the new breeders would want to fight.. We are still freshmens and there aint no point sending people against the more experienced fighters from other penguruan in the tournament.. As, frankly speaking, the chances of us winning is low.. If winning is not the matter, and experience is.. then having several friendlies would be a better platform to gain the experiences, instead of a grand tournament like PSK.. I am seeing this blessing in disguise too.. (:
I wished i have been there to witness the senior fighters ( adham,jumaat,luqman etc.) fight at their best all these past few years when i was unfortunately never around.. Never really met them in person (except luqman).. All that is left is their youtube videos and their names being mention in honour. However, i really look up to the current fighters.. Azmi, fadli, zafirah etc.. One day all of these name will be listed in the Macan pasrah hierarchy (if someone will be motivated to do it.. haha) as being the direct line of descent to Abg Zul

abg zul like u said earlier on perhaps there is hidayah…. actually i feel dissapointed after i get to know that macan not involved in this year PSK anyway all you can do rite now is train up all the junior to become 1 strong team like it always been….. its not that we dont want to get involved basically juma’at is in higher nitec, adham is in SP, Luqman going to serve the nation in JUNE and me just started Lasalle… we wanted to came down for the friendly with cekak but all of us has something on…. insyallah me ,mat n adham will be back really soon as we miss the macan family bonding…. btw insyallah july i plan to do documentary of anak2 macan….. so i really need ur permission and cooperation…. heee…. its not for my project, its for macan portfolio & memories….. abg zul u take down my new number 82264757 my old number yg 82480688 dah hilang….. thank Q….

Like I said in my earlier post …
“Firstly all our senior fighters have moved on with their lives ( I wish them the best of luck in whatever they are doing now)…
It has never been in my character to blame or keep grudges especially to the boys that I have helped in a small way built up into a formidable fighters they have come to be…
The main reason I persuaded Macan Association to continue have our own web server to host our website is for this purpose of connecting anak2 macan who will one day be located all around the world because our art is too valuable to let it die off a natural death at least not in my lifetime…
So please do not embark on a guilt trip… I am glad to hear all of you are making something out of your lives and we share the pride as one of the people that you consider family… Well done boys !!!

ok, fr what i see. we hv a new breed of fighers. bt nevertheless, abg zul had build a good fighters. it takes some times before we had this kind of fighters since 2003. i´m proud 2 say that even though e frenly between cekak was an experience for e juniors 2 gain experience in which they will not face any prob when come 2 olahraga. fr what abg zul say, stamina definitely important. put in more effort in trg insyallah u will make it 2 ur peak. if macan had nt breed gd fighters, a few of our seniors had fight e best fighter and some r able 2 defeat them. take them as a role model n u will make it nt fail. hope this will motivate e juniors. remember pain is temporary, bt pride will b forever.

Thanks ayah for putting up these videos… Just wanna say that as an anak macan… Anything is possible.. The Kompang is actually hard work from one of our pesilat’s father.. Abg Hamdan(Huzairi’s Father), Abg Zul and Zafirah… Yes, this kompang is ours… Not bad right??
So, if you guys or gals out there have frens or urself need such services (kompang / silat performance) just call abg zul at 9760 0334 or me, Yana at

i enjoyed the kompang performance and i am happy that Abg Zul and whoever are involved to make it happen are constantly coming out with ideas to expose our art. Macan Pasrah is an original piece of art (Pencak Silat art) unlike others out there and that is why i have always stay true to it. The application and movements are endless and are not set. Therefore there it is critical to be constant and persistent in your training in order to explore and discover the wonders of this art. * Do not execute a techniques without understanding the laws and principles behind the movements, application or techniques because situation changes in a fight. Explore the science behind it trust me you will be a better fighter.

Actually I am pleasantly surprised that Kak Juriyah (my wife) is interested in this. Finally I am able to get an activity that binds every member of my family and Kak Ju is handling the finances of our kompang group is by the way a separate entity from silat but in collaboration of course…
