This is my first time writing the network thing… so here it goes…
- First of all, congrats to AZMI and SYAHIR for winning the gold medal for ur respective schools…I myself was very entertained when I watched Azmi’s fight.. All the moves that abg zul has taught has been executed with excellent and precision timing.. By the way, Suria filmed Azmi’s fight and you can see up close all his moves.. Very cool.. I have recorded it so if u miss it dun worry.. For the others, dun give up k.. just train more and dun miss any lessons… hehe..
- K.. Talking abt lessons, we have just conducted a 3 hr olahraga session on 13 June 2009 at masjid almukiminin.. this is where you all can get a more up close and in depth training to ur olahraga techniques.. As this session is a more specialized form of training, a fee will be charged. It will cost $15 dollars per session and each class can only take up to a maximum of 6 people. It will usually be done on Saturday.. Time and Location will be decided once a class is confirm.. Our first session will be on the month of July.. So pls contact me or abg zul to book ur session. It will be first come first serve basis and classes will start when payment is done… Additional info is that this 3 hr session is not only restricted to olahraga techniques… If u want to perfect ur seni moves or other form (eg. weaponary..(we will invite guest trainers like abd Razali from Kembang Wali).., performance…(Shahrin will be incharge for now), fitness, etc…), u can also request for it..
- Next, we are selling t-shirts.. this year design will be a tiger claw on the side of the t-shirt.. It comes in 4 colours.. Bright Red, Cool Beach, Navy Blue and Rasta Green... Long Sleeve will be $15 and Short Sleeve will be $14.. Discount and Packages (eg. Family) will be given if more than 1 piece is bought.. So, pls contact me or abg zul to place ur orders… a order form can be emailed to you if you wish to order more than 1 t-shirt… Additional info is that orders will be processed once all money is collected… So, order now!!!! (after we get a minimum order of 30 pc baru kita activate the order)
- Now, for upcoming events….
- A newsletter will be issued to u guys abt the upcoming events in Macan if u come down to any gelanggang..
- First if everything is as planned, a mixed martial arts tanding competition will be held at masjid al-mukiminin in the month of August just before the fasting month…. This competition is for all form of martial arts and it is a team event.. So, u can get ur frens from other martial arts to join the competition.. Prize money will be given to the winner of the competition.. Additional info is that this competition is open to male participants only and ur grp must be a mixture of different race…
- Next, fasting month is coming in the month of August… So, as always we will close our classes.. So just see our newsletter to see the dates invlove.. Traditionally, we will meet once during the fasting month and Hari Raya to see how our anak Macan are doing.. At the same time, we can get to mingle with the families.. So, I always encourage all anak Macan to get their families involve in this 2 events…
- As such, we will be having a breaking of fast session on a date which will be on the newsletter.. We will be having a pot luck session.. so to all anak Macan and their families please bring ur food masterpiece for us to savour… hehe…
- Next, Hari Raya gathering will be organised and transport will be provided so we will collect money for the transport … More info will be given during our breaking of fast session…
- This year we will also be giving our donation cards to collect donations for our Macan Fund.. And as promised.. for those who can complete the card will be given a token of appreciation.. It will be attached to ur newsletter… So, I encouraged u guys and gals to help ur beloved perguruan.. The reason for us to have a fund is so that we are able to do activities for all our anak macans.. We will inform u on how much we have collected once all cards are collected..
- Below are activities in the early planning stage…
- As i know and understand… u anak macans love to spar with other perguruan or different marital arts.. That is why we are in negotiation stage with some perguruans to have a friendly session maybe at the end of the year or early… That is why.. I encourage all anak macans to train hard (especially in ur fitness area) so that u all are more prepared for this frenlies and any upcoming competition… ( I will approach the perguruan after PSK 2009 )
- Next, we are in the early planning stage of an inter CC silat competition… It can happen maybe this year or the next.. ( most probably either in Jan or Feb 2010)
- I am personally planning an activity exclusively for anak macan and their families for end of this year (maybe another camp or wat…). That is why, I would like ur views on wat activity shld we have at the end of this year… and as always reminded by abg zul.. this time i will pay close attention to our budget… So to all anak macan, pls support me in this part by giving ur fullest support to our donation cards.. This is so that we are able to have more activties together w/o much worry on our budget.. hehehe…(need more people to come forward as organising committee for this, please approach us as soon as possible)
- Apart from all these.. this year abg zul has set up a kompang/silat performance group with help from one of our anak macan’s father, Abg Hamdan… So far our strength is 8 ladies and 5 men for our kompang side (incld Zafirah - in charge) and 7 cute silat boys (incld Shahrin - trainer)… We will be having our first ever performance for a wedding this Sunday, 21st June 2009..(Alhamdullilah…it was one Heck Of A Performance!!!) I wish u guys luck in ur first perfomance… Additional info, any other anak macan wish to get involved u can contact me or abg zul…
