Hi all,

K, to start things off.. I feel like a proud sister looking at all my anak macans promoting their silat to their friends and making them part of our family. For now, i would like to thank Azmi and Mai for their recruitment as now we are having almost 20 students in Cheng San… For me, their abilty to recruit is mainly through their exhibition of their skills  during tanding competition..

I also cannot forget to thank youtube (hehe) and the person who upload the videos their (who else if not abg zul). This is becoz yesterday we had an anak macan who look at the videos at youtube and decide to join us. So to all other anak macan, be inspired to be the best and you will either directly (promoting to frens and family) or indirectly (ur execution of macan moves shown in youtube) be making macan an IN thing in not only Singapore but the whole world… YAY!!!

All right  next agenda, as you all shld know or heard of, the inter martial art tanding competition is going to be held on the 1st and 2nd august 2009 at Masjid Al-Mukiminin. Consent forms are out so please fill in and send to us asap with full payment. There will be a briefing on the 26th of July. By the way those anak macan who are not participating, are most welcome to help us in the logistics side.. So, if you wish to help pls call or msg me or abg zul. I really can’t wait to see all anak macan executing all the macan moves and competing not only against silat but other forms of martial arts. GD LUCK MY BROTHERS!!!

Next, currently right now there are 2 major events (insyallah)  in the planning stage…

They are : -

1. Opening of new gelanggangs

- We are planning to expand our gelanggangs to the east side (possible areas: Tampines, Bedok and Jurong Area). This is so we are able to recruit people from the east to appreaciate and learn our style. So to anak macans who have been informed about this issue, pls assist in locating which RCs we are going to so that we are able to promote our style there. Anything, pls contact me or abg zul. There will also be a small workshop in preparing you guys for this expansion. So, just be on the look out and promote this event to your frens and family in the east side..

2. Macan Camp 2009

- Alright for this event, it is still in the very early stage. I will update you guys frm time to time abt its progress. As of now, the date will be tentatively during the december holidays. Currently, we are looking out for sponsors for this event. So to all anak macans, if you guys have anyone who might be interested in sponsoring this event, pls do contact me or abg zul.. THKS!!

Have you check out our website, abg jali our australian expansion (hehe) has just recently held a combined training with 3 other perguruans. Wau!! Just look at the videos and you will see our australian anak macans.. Just take a look and it explains everything..

Lastly, on the 4th of July, me, abg zul and fadli went to a keris appreciation workshop. It was quite interesting as the speaker was talking about the origins and the process of making the keris. I myself was quite intrigue in the meaning behind keris. Anyway, my purpose of talking abt this is that Macan Association is still in the negotiation process of actually doing an evolution show to promote the keris, olahraga and seni. More will be written once everything is confirmed. Just wanna tell u anak macans that if this evolution show is a good success (insyallah) we might be travelling to places like Australia, Germany and even Middle East to promote our silat. This is really a major event if it pulls off. So to all my anak macan, pls contact us if you wish to be part of this prestigious event.

As of now, these are the updates. We will release a newsletter before the closing of gelanggang due to fasting month and hari raya. So, pls do check it out.
